Get ready, Bucknellians! We are excited to announce that the new bucknell.edu will go live on Monday, Aug. 5. Our writers, web team and photographer are putting the finishing touches on the first phase of the new site for the big reveal.
Here’s a quick summary of what you can expect in the weeks ahead:
The launch date is just the beginning. The website is being built from scratch, and it will take time to fully incorporate all of its features. More will be introduced in subsequent releases throughout the fall semester. We’ll soon share a schedule of additional phases.
Communications will meet with campus partners after launch to review pages together. The web team must focus on launch-related issues throughout the month of August. We will contact individual offices and set up a date to go over your new pages and requested changes. Please wait until Communications schedules a meeting with you to request changes. Thank you for your cooperation.
The freeze on non-critical website updates will remain in place for the time being. But we’ll provide a way to request corrections to factual errors that affect business operations, such as inaccurate dates or broken links.
There will be several ways to share feedback: at your scheduled meeting; via an online form; and at one of our open house events — we’ll announce event details soon.
